For me, the most fun of those shows were probably the volleyball games before the shows and The Bobs opening for The Band (no Robbie Robertson) was pretty cool. High as a kite listening to an acapella helter skelter has stayed with me over the years. It's the little things. Also, those shows had a somber overtone because Steve Parish's family got killed in a car wreck after the show on the 28th.

Off by a year on Steve's family getting killed.Happened during the '84 New Year's run.The 12/30/83 was one of the first live tapes I got way back when (only a few months after the show)and that got me on my way.Still one of my favorite Shakedown's of all time.

You're right - I went back and checked. I was at both of those runs at the civic. Kind of all blends together after all these years. See you at the bar at the phoenix!
